Spouse:  her first marriage was to Roy Edward Hegel on September  9, 1943, in St. Charles, Missouri and ended in divorce.  Roy died March 23, 1970.  Leona married Elmer Machuga locally on November 15, 1964.   He died June 5, 1970.  
           
Schooling:  attended White City Schools. White City, Illinois 
Occupation:  She was employed as a waitress for The Crossroads Cafe for 35 years , at that time owners were Earl and Lorraine Schwenner and also worked for the Sunset Cafe, all in Mt. Olive.

Interests: Enjoyed Gardening  // Loved visiting the Alton Belle Casino and Bingo at the Mt. Olive VFW and nursing home.
Survivors: 4 Sons:  Kenneth (Betty) Hegel of Oakland, KY //  Harry (Dawn) Hegel of Litchfield, IL //  Johnny Hegel of Mt. Olive, IL //  Dennis (Brenda) Hegel of Walshville, IL // 2 Daughters:  Shirley "Frosti" Bradley of Litchfield, IL //  Mary Ann Machuga of Carlinville, IL // and 1 Daughter-in-law, Carol Hegel of Mt. Olive, IL. 16 Grandchildren // 33 Great Grand Children // 4 Great-Great Grand Children 
Preceded in Death: Parents:  Harry & Paula Braun Jackson // 1 Son: Roy Leon Hegel // 3 Brothers: Harry, Raymond and Albert Jackson
