Loretta Enlow, age 86, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep April 19, 2019. She was a truly devout Catholic who always had a bright smile and kind word to offer all those she came into contact. Loretta enjoyed the outdoors - in her younger days you could find her roller skating along Lake Michigan, riding her bicycle, and hiking with her husband Ed, son Eddie and his faithful pooch Monica. Loretta crocheted many an afghan for friends and family. She also enjoyed an occasional excursion to the casino as well as shopping and lunch dates with her niece, Nikki Erdelyi.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ed, and five of her ten siblings - Joseph Yancik, Jr., James Yancik, Virginia Kloss, Judy Ellis, and Linda Erdelyi.
She was preceded in death by her son Eddie Enlow, Jr., parents Joseph John and Anna Lorraine Gubach Yancik, and siblings Alice Ballweg, Mary Ann Harmening, Richard Yancik, Tom Yancik, and Charles “Chico” Yancik.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish Mt. Olive IL. Graveside services and burial will follow at the Holy Trinity Cemetery Mt. Olive IL. A Lunch will also be served in the church hall after the comitial services.
Clergy will be Father Thomas Hagstrom and Father Steven Arisman
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Loretta’s name to Salvation Army or to Holy Trinity Cemetery (care of Becker & Son Funeral Home of Mt. Olive, IL) where many of her family members are laid to rest.
