Connie Jean (Haller) Hawkins

Constance (Connie) Hawkins Nee: Haller, 76, of Staunton, Illinois, formerly of White City passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023, at Glenwood Estates in Staunton. Connie was born in Litchfield Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Judith Haller, who both proceeded her in death. She is also proceeded by a brother-in-law Everette (Zeb) Booth. She attended Mt. Olive High School and graduated Lewis and Clark Community College with her LPN certificate. She married Ion Hawkins on August 4, 1987, in Macoupin County Illinois. He proceeded her in death on May 12, 2021.

Connie is survived by two sisters Donna Booth (Mt. Olive) and Shelley (Ed) Becker (Mt. Olive). She is also survived by five children William Tooley Jr (Palmyra), Terri Tooley (Palmyra), Paula Tooley (Carlinville), Shain Tooley (Debra Beck)(Springfield), and Ryan (Carrie) Kilduff (Staunton). She was blessed with eleven grandchildren Lindsey and Kevin Tooley, Hannah Hohimer, Josh Nurdin, Natasha Tooley, Aaron and Andrew Hurley, Quentin, Zachary, and Bryce Tooley, and Simon Kilduff and numerous great grandchildren.

Connie was an LPN and spent much of her career in nursing home care and managing home health care. Connie and Ion retired to St. Cloud Florida for several years before returning back to this area to be closer to her family.

Visitation service will be at Becker & Son Funeral Home on August 25, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:15 with a brief service to follow.
