Darlene Ann Snyder

 

Darlene Ann Snyder passed away on February 27, 2025 at 5:35 p.m. at her daughter’s residence in Springfield, IL. She was 81 years old.

 

Darlene was born on July 10,1943 to William Edward and Bernice Rozella (Wathern) Kunze in White City, IL. She attended Mt. Olive Grade School in Mt. Olive, IL  and Southeast High School in Springfield, IL. Darlene married Marlin (Marv) Maurice, Sr. in Livingston, IL on January 8, 1960. She was employed as a healthcare clerk at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Darlene was a member of Southside Christian Church in Springfield, IL and Red Hat Lady Society. She also enjoyed bowling.

 

Darlene is survived by her daughters: Tammy Ann (Ray) Panting and Suzanne Biddle, sons: Maurice (Cindy) Snyder, Jr., Mark (Rhonda) Snyder, Sr., Donald Snyder, and Joey Snyder, sisters: Bette Jones and Bernice Doris Westbrook, eight grandchildren: Sara (Anthony) Kendall, Becky (Josh) Epperson, Michael, Ronald, Mark Jr., Bethany (Brian) Metlis, Tim, and Rachel, four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Jameson, Arabella and Phoenix.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Kenneth Scott Snyder,  a sister Corrine and brothers Arthur and Eugene Kunze.

 

Visitation will take place at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, IL. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when the service will begin. Interment will be in the Chapman Cemetery.

 

Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
