Darrell Wayne Goodwin

 

Darrell Wayne Goodwin passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:15 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in LItchfield, IL. He was 68 years old.

 

Darrell was born on April 21, 1956 to William B. Goodwin and Loretta (Stogsdill) Goodwin. He attended Standard City Grade School and Carlinville High School. Darrell was a union ironworker. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, IL. Darrell loved his family but above all he loved the Lord.

 

Darrell is survived by his loyal companion, white lab Luna, fiancee, Jacki Richards, sons: Jessie (Alicia) Goodwin of Raymond, IL and Darrell Goodwin II of Mt. Olive, IL, daughters: Terra Fulkerson of Tennessee, April (Juan) Duran of Oletha, KS, Sarah (Mark) Mitts of Raymond, IL, grandchildren: Audrey Woods, Aurelia Goodwin, Athena Goodwin, Baleigh Fulkerson, Braydon Fulkerson, Amara Duran, Skyler Duran, Atlas Duran, Emma Mitts, Naomi Mitts, Clementine Mitts, a great-granddaughter, Mai Lynn, a sister, Betty (Goodwin) Clevenger of Carlinville and a brother Dennis Goodwin of Carlinville.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta Goodwin, brothers: William Goodwin, James Goodwin and Charles Goodwin, and sisters: Ann Goodwin and Mary Goodwin.

 

A private family graveside service took place at Bethel Ridge Cemetery in Atwater, IL. A public celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
