David Frederick Droste 71 of Findlay, Ohio Formerly Mt.Olive, IL.
Died: Thursday, August 20, 2020, 8:55 a.m. at the Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio
David was born March 24, 1949 in Litchfield, IL son of the late Vernon Ervin Droste and Alice Elfrieda Niemann Droste.
On June 18, 1972 in Wheaton, Illinois he married Pamela Daugird, they later divorced.
David attended the Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from Mt. Olive High School with the Class of 1967, he continued his education at Eastern Illinois University receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Botany and Zoology in 1971.
He grew up a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
David's first position was a Life Science Teacher in the Elmhurst, Illinois School District. He later worked as a Quality Control Expert for Nabisco and Mondelez Baking.
He was an avid dog and horse lover. He raised Basset Hounds for years and later owned a favorite coon hound "Della." For the last 20 years his horse "Skip" was his constant companion. Skip survives.
David is survived by his Mother, Alice Droste of Mt. Olive, Illinois, 2 Brothers, Richard (Mary) Droste of Charleston, Illinois, Charles (Vicki) Droste of Mt. Olive, Illinois 1 Sister Barbara (Mike) Rademacher of Mt. Olive, Illinois. 7 Nephews and Nieces: Emilie (Todd) Erickson; John (Lesley) Droste; Jenna (Kevin) McCarthy); Alex (Carly) Droste; Amanda (Andrew) Patterson; Julie (Brian) Mollet; & Paul (Rachel) Rademacher.
13 Great Nephews & Great Nieces: Jack, Caroline, & Sam Erickson; Dawson & Curtis Droste; Colin, Will, Sam, & Greta McCarthy; Max Droste; Alice, Claire,
& Jack Patterson; & Ella Lu Mollet.
David was preceded in death by his Father, Vernon Ervin Droste & Nephew, Mitchell Vernon Rademacher.
Funeral Service: Friday , August 28, 2020 11 A.M. Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mt. Olive, Illinois
Friends may call 9:30 A.M. until the time of service (11 A.M.) at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
