Donna Jean Guild

Donna Jean Guild passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12:40 p.m at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was 61 years old.

Donna was born in Staunton, IL on January 8, 1961 to Altilio Valenti and Elsie Valenti (Straub). She attended Staunton schools and graduated in 1979. She married Keith Andrew Guild on June 2, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive. Donna worked in both child care and home health. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive, IL. Donna enjoyed taking vacations and also liked to swim.

Donna is survived by her husband: Keith Guild of Mt. Olive, three sons: Scott (Kaitlyn) Forbes of Wood River, Marty (Jordan) Forbes of Staunton, and Joey Guild of Mt. Olive, and two grandchildren: Hunter and CJ Forbes. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Michael Valenti, Terry Valenti, and Tom Valenti.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, IL. Services will take place on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Art Braden officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family or to the Mt. Olive Fire Department.
