Dorothy Louise Marburger

Dorothy Louise Marburger passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Copper Creek Cottages Memory Care in Litchfield, IL. She was 85 years old.

Dorothy was born on January 11, 1941 in Chesterfield, IL to William Olen and Birdie Lou (Riddle) Trill. She married Larry Lee Marburger on April 1, 1961 in Chesterfield, IL, and he survives. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was also a school secretary for local Lutheran churches. Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, ATA and Midstate Motorcycle Club. She was also an election judge.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Larry, a son, Alan, and a daughter, Cathy husband (Rick) Gerhardt, grandchildren: Zachary wife (Andrea), Austin, Allison, Marburger and Candice Gerhardt, and great grandchildren, Aleigha and Alaina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Trill.

Visitation will take place at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, IL on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. The service officiated by Pastor Zachary Krampien will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Lunch for family and friends will immediately follow interment at Zion Lutheran Church Hall.

Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Olive Zion Lutheran Church and the Mt. Olive Care Center.
