Ellen Irene Paitz

Ellen Irene Paitz passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:37 p.m. at Addington Place of Edwardsville. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Paitz was born on February 6, 1943 in Litchfield, IL the daughter of Harold Edmond Eames and Minnie Martha Whitehouse. She attended Zion Lutheran Grade School and Staunton High School. She attended Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique in St. Louis, Missouri and after graduation worked as a medical lab technician. Mrs. Paitz was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL. She married Jacob Paitz in St. Louis on August 28, 1965, and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2013.

Mrs. Paitz is survived by her sons: Jacob Brian (Lauri) Paitz of Maryville, IL and Roy Jeffrey (Tracy) Paitz of St. Charles, MO, a brother, Roy (Kathy) Eames of Osage Beach, MO, four granddaughters: Kylee (Keith) Vierling of St. Charles, MO, Stephanie (Christian) Bosaw of St. Jacob, IL, Sarah (Fiance David) Paitz of Maryville, IL, Audrey Paitz of Seattle, WA, two grandsons: Daniel and Timothy Paitz of Troy, IL, and a great grandson, Graham Vierling of St. Charles, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Minnie Eames and her husband, Jacob Paitz.

Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Hospital.
