Obituary

Ida Maryann Hendriksen passed away at her daughter’s residence on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:40 a.m. She was 106 years old.


 

Ida was born on October 28, 1915 in Mt. Olive, IL, the daughter of Otto Victor and Emilia Frances Hartman Kirbach. She attended Mt. Olive schools. She married Harold Hendriksen in April of 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She was employed at West Suburban Hospital, Mars Candy Factory, and Republic Drill & Tool all in Chicago, IL. She was also employed by the Secretary of State in Springfield, IL.


 


 

Ida was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. In her younger days, she enjoyed going to movies, playing bingo and traveling with her daughter, Sandy, and her son-in-law, Jerry.


 


 

She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Jerry) Marburger and numerous nieces and nephews.


 


 

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, Otto, and Ernest Kirbach, and eight sisters: Ann Leitschuh, Marie Barry, Antoinette Baker, Hattie Reilly, Emma Anderson, Elizabeth Sheppard, Cecelia Williams and Irma Knes.


 


 

Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Union Miners Cemetery in Mt. Olive, IL. Lunch will be served immediately following at Zion Lutheran Church.


 


 

Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, IL and Adopt-A-Pet in Benld, IL.
