Military: He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1952 - 1955.
Church: He grew up in the 1st United Methodist Church, Mt. Olive, Illinois and later became a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Mt. Olive, Illinois
Occupation: He was the Vice President and General Manager of Roller Derby Skate Corporation, Litchfield, Illinois retiring in 2000 after 42 years.
Organizations: Former President and Life Member of the Mt. Olive Turner Hall where he Played Kittenball, Volleyball, Poley, & Bowling, hitting a 300 game on April 9, 1969. Past member of Litchfield and Staunton Country Clubs and the Litchfield Elks Lodge, and a current member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge.
Interests: Played Minor League Baseball, and played for White City in the 3M League, He was an avid and skilled golfer. // Life long fan of the Chicago Cubs .

Burial: Mt. Olive City Cemetery, Military Rites: The flag will be folded by Ron Hubert & Lavern Rosenthal and presented to Jim's wife Joanne by Ron Hubert, Ray Slapak & Rich Willows served as Honor Guard, Ernie Thomack sang "God Bless America" and played Taps.
Clergy: Reverend Ben Fiore Eulogies: will be given by his Granddaughter, Kate and by family friend, Francie Hainlaine
Pallbearers: Grandsons: Mitch Scheller & J. D. Bruch // Nephews: Jim, Paul, Larry, Gary, & Matt Scheller and Jeff Jatcko.
Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Kratochvil & Joe Rimar
Music: Organist, Pianist, & Soloist Ernie Thomack will accompany the congregation on "How Great Thou Art" and sing "In The Garden" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" at the service and "Amazing Grace" at the Graveside.
Memorials: A fund split between Mt. Olive High School Baseball & Golf // Mt. Olive Cemetery // Zion Lutheran Church.
Lunch: for family and friends will be served in the Zion Fellowship Hall by the Zion Ladies
