Joyce Lucielle Sanvi n`ee Kirkwood

Joyce Lucielle Sanvi passed away at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL at 12:23 a.m. on January 11, 2023. She was 89 years old.

Mrs. Sanvi was born to David William Kirkwood and Anna Mae Mosser on January 4, 1934 in Staunton, IL. She attended Mt. Olive schools and graduated in the class of 1951. She married Donald A. Sanvi on February 11, 1956. They had two children and were married for sixty-two years. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2018. Mrs. Sanvi worked for the Federal Aviation Administration at Capital Airport in Springfield for twenty-seven years. Mrs. Sanvi enjoyed winters in Florida bowling, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Sanvi is survived by her son, James (Rebecca) Sanvi of Cary, North Carolina, six grandchildren: Todd Skeeters, Jamie (Charles) Skeeters, Brian (Melodey) Skeeters, Jeffery Skeeters, Abigail (Thomas) Barton, Katherine (Michael) Riccitiello, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Gerald Scheller and a niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, loving daughter, Linda Skeeters, son-in-law Richard Skeeters, two sisters: Jeanette Scheller and Julia “Judy” Schreiber, stepmother: Wilma Ruth Kirkwood and great-grandson Kaleb Don Skeeters

A private family graveside service will take place at Chapman Cemetery in Mt. Olive, IL.
