Larry Lee Kimble

Larry Lee Kimble passed away on April 30, 2026 at 6:23 a.m. at his residence in Mt. Olive, IL. He was 78 years old.

Larry was born on October 28, 1947 in Bloomington, IL to William James Kimble and Laura Belle (MoMann) Kimble. He attended Springfield High School and graduated on June 6, 1965. Larry served in the United States Army from September 1967 until January 1971, and he was honorably discharged. After serving in the military, Larry was employed as a maintenance repairman working with medium to heavy machinery. Larry later retired in 2011 as a Service Manager from Patten Tractor and Equipment, Inc.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Karrie Kimble (David), and a nephew, Doug Svehla. His life companion, Melba Bick and her son, Paul Pregler (Stephanie), grandchildren, Brittany (Brendan) Odum, and his greatest pride and joys, Joslyn Odum, Jazmine Pregler, Mason & Wyatt Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Kimble, and a sister, Linda Svehla.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Mel’s Place in Mt. Olive, IL.
