Interests: Member of the Mt. Olive Centennial Iron Five & Chapter 6, loved bowling // Great Fan of the Cubs, the Fighting Illini & the Mt. Olive Wildcats// enjoyed singing and music, gardening and fishing.
Occupation: Retired Head Janitor for the Mt. Olive Schools and in his early years worked in the Coal Mine.
Military: A Private First Class in the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during WWII from March 2, 1943 until April 3, 1946. He received the American Theater Service Medal. // The European, African, Middle Eastern Theatre Service Medal, & the Good Conduct Medal.
Military Rites: The flag was folded by Ron Hubert & LaVern Rosenthal & presented to his Sister, Sister Joanne Thomas by Ron Hubert, Ray Slapak & Rich Willows served as Honor Guard. Ernie Thomack sang "God Bless America" and played Taps.

Lunch: for family and friends will be served in the St. John Paul II Hall, served by the Altar & Rosary Society.
