Lois Alma Niemann
Lois Alma Nieman passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 4:26 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL. She was 90 years old.
Lois was born on April 1, 1932 in Litchfield, IL to Alvin and Alma (Lueker) Monke. She attended Mt. Olive schools and graduated in the Class of 1950. Lois attended Washington University and received her Associates Degree. She worked as a licensed lab technician. Lois married Roy Niemann on August 18,1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2011. Lois was a member of Zion's Ladies Aid and Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, IL.
Lois is survived by two sons: Brian (Cindy) Niemann and Reverend Glenn Niemann, two daughters: Nancy (Jeffery) Stowe, Laura (Robert) Duckert, one brother, Robert (Carol) Monke, one sister-in-law, Alice Droste, nine grandchildren: Daniel (Sara) Stowe and Amy (Gary) Enfield, Kimberly (Jon) Severin, Alicia, and Michael Niemann, Sadie and R.J. Duckert, and Elizabeth Beaman and Naomi Niemann and two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Ava Severin. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Paul Niemann, a sister, Mary Ellen Rudsenske, and a brother, John Monke.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, IL. A second visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 and services will begin at 11 a.m. Reverend Kraemer will officiate. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield, IL. Lunch will be served at Zion Lutheran Church Hall immediately following interment.
Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran School or Zion Lutheran Church.
