Louise Violet Kaganich
Louise Violet Kaganich passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Hitz Health Care in Alhambra, Illinois. She was 101 years old.
Born on December 14, 1918 in White City, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Radanovich. She attended White City Grade School. Louise married Perry Kaganich on June 30, 1937 in Carlinville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1991.
She is survived by two children, a son, Paul Kaganich of Mt. Olive, Illinois, and a daughter, Marie (Dan) Grandame of Highland, Illinois, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Louise held several jobs. She worked as a waitress, and she worked for Olin Brass in Alton, Illinois. Louise was a member of the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Benld, Illinois. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, cooking and baking.
Louise was preceded in death by four brothers: Sam, Louis, Joe and John, and five sisters: Anna, Mildred, Rose, Evelyn and Marie Ann, and a daughter-in-law, Ann.
Private Services will take place at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, Illinois on Monday, November 23, at 11 a.m. Father Nicholas will be officiating. Burial will be at Union Miners Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Illinois. Memorials Mt. Olive Academic Foundation and Union Miners Cemetery
