Lucille D. Early

Lucille D. Early, age 96 passed away on February 23, 2022 in Middletown, NJ where she and her husband Joseph J. Early (deceased) had moved to be near family. The couple were formerly of Glen Carbon, Il.
She was born on January 23, 1926 in Mt. Olive, IL and was the daughter of Charles and Luella (Lich) Franke.
She was married to Joseph J. Early in 1948 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, Il. They had celebrated over 70 years of marriage.
Lucille grew up in Mt. Olive, Il. where she attended Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Mt. Olive Community High School. She was proficient at math and worked in St. Louis for several years before meeting and marrying Joe. They lived in St. Louis for a short time before moving to Glen Carbon where her father Charles Franke, a carpenter, had built a home for them. She was a homemaker dedicated to her family yet also active in organizations at Trinity Lutheran School and Church in Edwardsville, Il. She and Joe later attended and were active in St. James Lutheran Church in Glen Carbon, Il.
Survivors include:
Daughter Janet Early and her husband Robert Shindel of Middletown, NJ.
Two sons: Loren Early also in Middletown, NJ and Larry Early of West DesMoines, IA.
Grandchildren: William Shindel of Chapel Hill, NC; Breton Shindel of Long Island City, NY; Connor Early of Dallas, TX and Courtney Early of Des Moines , IA.
Many nieces and nephews
Lucille was preceded in death by her Parents: Charles and Luella Franke; her husband: Joseph Early and their son James Early;
Her sister: Norine McCabe
Buriel will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery in Mt. Olive, Il. A graveside service will be held for immediate family.
