Margaret L. (Allen) Lebeter, age 96, died at home in Boca Raton FL on Wed. April 5, 2023. Born on June 8, 1926 in Taylorville IL, the daughter of Clarence and Inez Allen, she was raised and educated in Litchfield IL. After High School graduation she moved to Chicago for work and there married the love of her life, Donald D. Lebeter. They had two children, Richard and Mary Margaret but she continued to work. Many people in our South Side community knew her as Margie the Cosmetologist from Red Star Pharmacy. She cared about her customers, and they loved her beautiful smile. Retiring with Don to Mt. Olive (Lake Ka-Ho) IL she became an active member of First United Methodist Church (You may remember her chicken salad!) as well as Home Makers Extension and TOPS. Her parents and all four siblings, Robert, Bill, Mary (Athy) and John preceded her in death while sister-in-law La Donna Barnes resides in Atwater IL. She will be missed by her 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews, whom she truly loved with all her heart. A grave side service will be held at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield on Thurs April 20, 2023 at 11:00 o’clock.
