Military: An Army PFC WWII veteran in the Pacific Theatre, received Asiatic - Pacific Theatre Ribbon with a Bronze Star // Philippine Liberation Ribbon with a Bronze Star // Victory Medal // & Army of Occupation Medal Japan.
Military Rites: Provided by the Mt.Olive Area Veterans. The flag will be folded by Ron Hubert & Lavern Rosenthal and presented to his son Mike Welge by Ron Hubert. Richaed Willows and Ray Slapak served as Honor Guard. Ernie Thomack will play taps and sing "God Bless America".
Occupation: Retired fromWestern Auto, O'Fallon, Missouri after 30 years, then worked for the Mt. Olive School District as a janitor until his retirement.
Interests: An avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
