Mary Jane Fritz
Mary Jane Fritz passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:10 p.m. at Maryville Manor Court in Maryville, IL. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Fritz was born on April 6, 1936 to Clinton Wilmont Bryant and Viola M. (Hundley) Bryant in Mt. Olive, IL. She attended Staunton schools and graduated from Staunton High School. She attended Tri-County Beauty Academy in Litchfield, IL. Mrs. Fritz was a unit clerk at Community Memorial Hospital for seventeen years. Mary’s favorite pastime was reading, as her vision failed, she turned to Audio books for many hours of enjoyment. In her younger years Mary was an avid bowler playing on local teams with friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Robin (Keith) Ramseier of Mt. Olive, IL and Michelle Heim-Streeb (Michael Streeb) of Collinsville, and a son, Michael P. (Beth) DuFrain of Staunton. Step-children: Cinda Bullock, John (Michelle) Fritz, Tony (Kryztal) Fritz, Lora (Todd) Engle, Brenda Fritz and Todd Fritz.
Grandchildren: Stewart (Kacy) Heim, Sydney Streeb-Stephens (Mason), Morgan DuFrain, Stormy DuFrain, Hampton DuFrain, Drake DuFrain,
Thomas (Holly) Royer, Shawn (Cassie) Royer, Sabrina Fritz, Robert J. Fritz, Sydnee (Elliot) Marciniak, Abigale Pohlman, Robert E. Fritz, Kylie Firtiz, Jayce Fritz, and Adison Fritz. Great Grandchildren: Mya Girardier, Zachary Girardier, Alyssa Girardier, Madelyn Girardier, Emily Girardier, Kali Royer, Mia Royer, Reagan Royer, Aliva Royer Brantley Marciniak and Dawson Fritz and former spouse Jorn H. DuFrain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Wilmont Bryant and Viola M. (Hundley) Bryant, grandparents: George & Mary Jane (Allen) Hundley, Elise L. Bryant and Gerie M. (Isley) Bryant, former spouses: Robert Bodi and Robert Fritz.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
