David attended Hadley Technical High School, St. Louis, MO and graduated with the Class of 1953. He was employed as a carpenter and Production Manager for Heritage Decorating, Inc., St. Louis, MO. After retiring, "Beas," as he was known by his friends, filled his time racing homing pigeons, fishing and hunting squirrels and rabbits. He belonged to the Buckeye Club of Wilsonville, IL. He was an avid Cardinals and Blues fan all of his life. Beas had no enemies and never met a stranger. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mt. Olive, Il.
David is survived by his wife, Gertrude Beasley, Kings Lake, Mt. Olive, IL, three daughters, Lesley (Chris) Albin of Maryland Heights, MO, Christine Beasley (dear friend Mony Rawlings) of Troy, MO, Dina Beasley of Maryland Heights, MO, a granddaughter, Andrea (Matthew) Wolfe of Ypsilanti, MI and a sister, Martha Bommarito of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by parents, Paul David Beasley, Sr. & Anne Vrenick Beasley and two sisters, Alberta Grider and Pauline Emerson.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Becker & Son Funeral Home, Mt. Olive, IL. Funeral Service to be held Monday, October 7, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 111 E. Main St, Mt. Olive, IL 62069. Burial to follow at Mt. Olive City Cemetery. Clergy: Reverend James Ritter.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cardinals Care or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Lunch will be served, following the burial, to family and friends at the Immanuel Lutheran Educational Building by the ladies of the Lydia Circle.
