Paul Dean Rine

Paul Dean Rine passed away at 10:06 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center. He was 87 years old.

Mr. Rine was born on April 2,1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd Rine and Verna (Hicks) Rine. Upon completion of high school, Mr. Rine enlisted in the United States Navy and served from June 10, 1954 until June 9, 1958 when he was honorably discharged. He married Judy Weidler on March 24,1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. She preceded him in death. Mr. Rine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was employed by International Paper in Litchfield, IL. 

Mr. Rine is survived by one son, three daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son and two sisters. 

Visitation will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, IL on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m. Services, officiated by Reverend James Ritter, will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Following interment lunch for family and friends will be served at Immanuel Lutheran Educational Building.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wounded Warrior Project and Parkinson’s Foundation.
