Richard Julius Konecy

Richard Julius Konecy passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 71. He was a resident of Mt.
Olive and the Staunton area most of his life. Richard served in the U.S. Army for 18 years and was a combat
veteran of the Vietnam War. After the War he was stationed on bases in Germany and Turkey before returning
home to Mt. Olive. He is survived by his sister, Susan Konecy Bankard , of New Orleans. Richard is preceded
in death by his parents, Julius and Charlotte Konecy. He will be buried in a family plot with his mother in the
historic St. Anne's Cemetery on Mackinac Island, Michigan. No local Services are planned due to corona virus.
