Church: Member of Zion Lutheran Church where he was baptized July 2, 1919 and confirmed April 9, 1933.
Occupation: Painter & Decorator for Stix, Baer and Fuller in St. Louis, Missouri for 40 years before retiring in 1980
Organizations: Life member of the Mt. Olive VFW Post #5790 and ATA // CC Camps 1936 - 1937
Interests: Enjoyed Hunting, fishing, & his dogs. // An avid Cardinal Fan // Loved spending time with family and reminiscing about Mt. Olive.

Service: A Private 1st Class in the United States Army, Inducted on December 3, 1941, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri and discharged on September 3, Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Served as a Combat Medic, and was part of the third wave that invaded Utah Beach on D-Day. He fought in Belgium's Huntgen Forest, Luxembourg's Ardennes Forrest, in the Battle of the Bulge, and helped liberate Paris. He was awarded a Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Cluster, and V for valor, D-Day Arrowhead, Presidential Unit Citation, Silver Battle Star and several campaign medals.

Survivors: 1 Son, Joseph (Donna) Feldmann of Columbia, MO // 1 Grandson, Jack Krotchett and fiancee Michelle // 1 Granddaughter, Heather (Brian) Slingerland // Great Grandchildren, Andrew & Autumn .

Burial: Thursday, July 9, Mt. Olive Cemetery.
