Sandra J. Salvati

Sandra J. Salvati passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 5:19 a.m. at her daughter’s home in Staunton, IL. She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Salvati was born in Radford, Virginia on May 18, 1941 to John Lewis Roop and Hattie Louise (Simpson) Roop. She married Richard S. Salvati on June 10, 1971 in Washington, New Jersey, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2007. Mrs. Salvati was a homemaker and a retired babysitter.

She is survived by her only daughter, Laura (Thomas) Heigert of Staunton, IL, and a sister, Rose Roop of Roanoke, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Salvati was preceded in death by her husband, and 3 siblings.

Visitation will take place at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, IL on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Salvati will be buried alongside her late husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:15 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Benld Adopt-a-Pet.
