Sharon Kay Ernest passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 4:34 p.m. at her residence in Mt. Olive, IL. Surrounded by loved ones. She was 76 years old.
Sharon was born on August 13, 1949 in Springfield, IL to John Reynolds Jr. and Oneita (Standage) Reynolds. Sharon married Bruce Ernest on March 8, 1999 at the Montgomery County Courthouse, and he survives. She was employed as a CNA Certified Nurse Assistant.
Sharon is survived by one sister Cindy Morgan of Coffeen IL. And one son Brian Eads of Springfield IL. And three daughters: Tresa Eads , Shannon (Eric) Vancauwelaert of Mt.Olive IL., and Angel Osborn of Astoria IL.
Sharon is survived by 11 Grandchildren , Crystal Brooks, Rabeca Hutchens, Kendra Hammann, Arielle Halvey , Arianna Miloncus, Arielle Miloncus , Brendan Landre , Allison Landre, Autumn Osborn, Elias Osborn. Stormey Posey. And 7 Great Grandchildren : Taylor Piechur, Elisa Madeline, LoraLye Ussery. Anthony Hulvey, Michael Hulvey, Nova Selene, Mason Posey. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Jody White of Colorado, Dj Morgan Jr. Of Coffeen IL. Nichole Ehrhard ( Knapp) of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Judy Ehrhardt.
Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, IL. on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The service will begin at 11:00 officiated by Pastor Kevin Simburger. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen, IL.
Pallbearers: Eric Vancauwelaert, Brendan Landre, Anthony Ussery, Taylor Piechur, D.J. Morgan Jr.and Brian Eads.
