Bill was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon (2br. stars) // American Area Ribbon // Phillipine Liberation Ribbon (2 br. stars) and the Victory Medal . // He remained very active in the LST 640 reunions.

Interests: Enjoyed hunting // bowling // woodworking // restoring old tractors.//playing horseshoes and pinochle. // Making mulligan and was an avid Cardinal fan.//A Grandfather to Hank Old Boy and the late Ginger the cat.

Military Rites: The flag was folded by Rob Hubert and Lavern Rosenthal and presented son Bill Frank by Ron Hubert. Ray Slapak and Frank Gill served and Honor Gauard. Reverend Nancy Hubert sang "God Bless America" and Ken Goeway played taps.
